Keep your home organized with our 8 step process!
When your home is clean and well-organized, you feel more relaxed and your mind it as ease. But sometimes, after a long, hard day at work, even picking up a coffee cup from the table to the sink can seem so hard. With unwashed dishes in the sink, a pile of dirty laundry in the basket, hoards of kids toys strewn all over the sitting room, and unmade beds, it can be hard to tackle all this on a daily basis. But this doesn’t mean it’s not possible. If you can devote some little time every day, then you can make your home sparkling clean and properly organized.
Do yourself and your house a favor and adopt these useful daily house cleaning tips so you will never have to wake up to a dirty house or spend the entire weekend tidying up. These tricks are also great productivity hacks to stay in shape.
1. Make Your Bed Right After You Wake Up
As soon as you wake up in the morning, make a habit of pulling the sheets and bed cover neatly. Arrange the pillows and boom, your bed is all neat and organized. Making your bed will only take a few minutes of your time and at the end of a hard day, you can retreat into a neat bed and offload your stresses.
Making your bed will also make it hard to crawl back to bed. And make a point of having your kids make their beds too. Your home will be a lot tidier and look well-organized.
2. Wipe Down the Bathroom After Taking a Shower
After taking a shower in the morning, give your bathroom a quick clean by wiping it down with a spray cleaner. Wiping down your bathroom isn’t just about keeping it clean, but the next person who will use it will appreciate showering in a clean bathroom.
Wipe around the sink to remove any loose hair, water rings, and makeup, and clean off the counter and arrange your personal products. Also make a point of doing a quick scrub on the bathroom floor. And don’t forget to hang your towels on the bar and ropes on the hook. This will only take you a few minutes of your time.
3. Start a Wash Cycle as Soon as You Get Home in the Evening
Don’t wait for laundry to pile up for machine washing in the weekend. You might end up spending your entire weekend drowning yourself in laundry cleaning. Instead, consider gathering the load in the morning and throw it in the machine washer. When you get back in the evening, you can start a wash cycle. While waiting for the dryer to finish up, you can start cleaning the dishes and you’ll have enough time to fold them and put them away.
4. Clean Up the Kitchen Before Retiring to Bed
After a busy day at work and the hassle of preparing dinner for the family, you might be tempted leave the kitchen looking all dirty and messy. This is not something you will want to wake up to in the morning. And clearly, you won’t have enough time to clean up and prepare breakfast. Heck, you may not have clean dishes to use for serving breakfast. The trick is cleaning and organizing your kitchen before going to bed in the evening.
Load, run, and empty the dishwasher. Wipe the dinner table and kitchen counters and clean the floor. Do that every day and you will always be glad to start your days with a clean and organized kitchen, not to mention a good mood.

5. Sweep Through the Living Room and Arrange the Cushions
You might not have enough time to sweep and organize your living room. And because you don’t want to leave it all messy, take a few minutes of your time to sweep and organize it. Once everyone has retired to bed, do a quick sweep through, pick up kids toys and any clothes lying around. Next, arrange the couch pillows to give the room the illusion of a neat living room.
It will be nice to retire to bed knowing that your house is in a good condition.

6. Layout Breakfast Dishes Before Retiring to Bed
Mornings can be a little bit hectic. With the morning traffic rush, you can’t afford to waste time organizing yourself. That’s why you should try to layout breakfast dishes and all the appliances that you need to prepare breakfast. Preparing breakfast the following morning will be a lot less stressful and faster.
7. Put Items into Boxes to Control Clutter
If you don’t manage clutter every day, it builds up, and then you will have a house full of clutter that will take a few hours of your time to put away. That’s why it’s important to have a few boxes to control clutter. You can designate boxes for books, daily newspapers, mobile chargers, wires, and children toys.
Also, make a habit of picking up things you find lying around the house. Pick up a shirt lying on the couch or pick up the shoes resting under the table and place them in the shoe rack.

8. Dispose Garbage Everyday
Don’t let trash pile up in your home. Instead of disposing it off once or twice a week, consider doing it every day. This will help keep your home clean and odor-free.
The daily maintenance of your home may seem like a daunting task. However, it’s the little things you do that will keep it all nice and clean, not to mention make your life more bearable.
